Launching the Foundational literacy and numeracy program FLN is tremendous step for making a strong foundation for the early age children. in the early age, childrens cognitive development rapidly takes place but the matter of concern that they are not getting such environment at their home that causes poor learning level of children. FLN targeted to enable children they can read and respond with comprehension , independently write with understanding, develop number senses etc.

It enables a child to get involved with learning at pre primary schooling age by play way, activity based, self discovery based methods involving his or her natural environment and an integrated class room environment helped by a well trained teacher. It has become a need for every child at early ages of his/her growth years to be healthy and to gain the ability to read, write and numercy sense before attaining to class 3.

ReplyDeleteAccording to ECCE each and every child has his/her own abilities to learn and ECCE provides a way to improve these abilities to achieve FLN in pre primary age. Instead of forcing them to learn to read, write and count an inclusive and holistic environment has to be provided that enables the child to self learn using various play way activity, innovative and creative abilities at their own pace. For achieving this children must be provided by an inclusive classroom that will enable a child to explore and learn. Along with this a well trained teacher is required for guiding them and germinate the seeds of learning in them using various activities and playful interaction with them.

This stage is very crucial for a child's all round developement through in an environment where there is no pressure,no fear or force. This video teach us let them do what they or how they like to learn. Well, ECCE means Early Child Care and Education. This can be better understood by teachers who has been parents and who believe in self development of a child by waY of errors and corrections. We mostly donor force or press upon children on certain activities which they are interested with and we motivate them ,encourage them. Likewise the same method will be implemented in formal educational institutions for holistic development of children. ECCE will be very important because it will create the base for children for socio-emotional,psychogical, cognitive ang numeracy or reasoning development of children. This will provide environment for skill learning,reasoning enhancement etc to children. Children will learn life skills to survive. It will boost their confidence and turn pasimism to optimism.

ReplyDeleteAfter watching this video, I understood that children should be made free to do any activity they like if it's not harmful to them. Every child is unique as far as learning is concerned. Some may have quick grasping power and some may not, so, being a teacher, it's my duty to observe and identity their qualities and give enough time those slow learners.We coming down to the level of our children is the key here.

Every child has a unique ability and character. we should not compare with others. One of the most critical periods in the age in child development & learning is the birth to 5 yrs old in this first five yrs of child development is crucial to their health, wellbeing and overall trajectory of their lives in various of ways so we should not give any kind of pressure.

Moreover, they learn by visual, auditory, playing, and kinesthetic styles. and through ECCE establishment every child sets the foundation. I am very glad to attend such a beautiful classroom session which led to the foundation for lifelong learning behavior and health and the capital to learn the new 5+3+3+4 structure proposed by NEP 2020, a strong base of ECCE from age three is included. It aimed at promoting better overall learning, development, and well-being, and lifelong learning and skills development of every child.

The aim of ECCE is to maximise the holistic development of a child by encourage and motivate children in their activities. So they can think independently and get lifelong experiences.

ECCE demands for a child- centric educational environment, stresses on the need of play-way method of learning in pre-primary level education and the requisite parameters for it's successful implementation. We also got a glimpse of how ignoring innate potentials of children can have a detrimental effect in their all-round development. The film showcased through a story how comparing a child with others can have negative impact upon the child. The film also showcases the need of including CWSN child and specially trained teachers to implement inclusive education successfully and make ECCE a successful attempt towards reviving pre-primary level education.

ReplyDelete"KHULA AAKASH" teaches us why ECCE is so important in overall development of a child. ECCE will develop the children not only for formal education but will also help the children outside the formal education system n life. It will develop the cognitive ability, literacy and numeracy skill of the children. So the basic curriculum and teaching method must be child centric and an environment must be created to make the children learn in their own manner. A play way & activity method is must for EECE. Also the teachers must be well trained so that they can give maximum output as it necessary to teach the children in their own way. But without a proper infrastructure the teaching and learning method is hindered.

ECCE basically aims for a child's overall welfare and development without any force learning and allows the child to develop in its own phase because it believes that every child has their own capacity for doing things they are meant to do.
