DeleteYes. The facility of language is pre imbedded in human beings and as such children naturally learn the language that they are exposed. They excel and master to learn to express their thoughts using the medium of language that is mostly their mother tongue.

The child’s brain is learning and changing more during language acquisition in the first six years of life than during any other cognitive ability (they) are working to acquire. From birth until middle childhood, children’s brains are essentially primed for language learning at impeccable rates. They grasp linguistic keys from practically every aspect of their environments from casual daily conversations going on around them to nightly bedtime stories.
Children learn by being immersed in language and witnessing others interacting as frequently as possible. Having basic conversations and engaging them with a pointed, inquisitive nature, will help them develop critical thinking skills as well as gathering the basics needed for all forms of more complex communications later in life.

ReplyDeleteYes, they are natural inclination to learn language. The children learn language which they hear in their surroundings and this happens in their own house and friends circle of environment.
ReplyDeleteChildren from birth observe the surrounding and act accordingly.Similarly in the case of language they hear the word sentences gestures and try to imitate them So it is natural phenomenon to learn language from the surrounding.and that leads to the learning reacting as per their assumption which is abstract in nature as their age progress it concrete leading towards their language proficiency.
ReplyDeleteYes, children or young learners do possess a natural inclination for learning language as well as learning through language. From my observation as a teacher at my lower primary school, I have witnessed that children display great excitement and enthusiasm to learn a language, specially through pictorial stories having subtitles, from various short stories, fables etc. They have an innate desire to learn a language,if as a teacher we are able to guide them purposefully making the teaching - learning process of a language joyful & appealing to them. Children are also very capable to learn their subject contents through the medium of language as in this way they are able to grasp the subject matter meaningfully.

ReplyDeleteWe all know that children have a natural inclination for learning language. they learn through the medium of language. Therefore their mother tongue plays an important role here. Teach these small kids in their own language.

They are developing use of complex grammatical structures and vocabulary; communicative competence (rules for the appropriate and effective use of language in a variety of social situations); comprehension of spoken and written language; and ways to express themselves.
ReplyDeleteteachers may provide instruction, the instruction should follow the student's needs and interests rather than being prescribed in a predetermined manner. The complexity of language processes requires that children be allowed to engage in complete or whole-language activities rather than in isolated skill instruction activities that distort language processes by stripping them of their complexity (and also making them harder to learn). The learning of written language is not viewed as being much different from the learning of spoken language, and thus learning processes similar to those used in learning spoken language are advocated for the learning of written language .

ReplyDeleteYes, we know that children have a natural inclination for learning language and learning through medium. We have seen that at the early stage children learn their surrounding environment in their mother tongue and mother tongue is regarded as the best medium of comprehending and learning, because they feel comfortable and easy to express their thoughts, creativity and innovations. We always find that children gives interest only when it is interesting and attractive, and we as a teacher and facilitator must always try to use authentic learning materials and provide them the environment for self learning and assessment which will lead them to become independent readers.

Language is natural to human beings. Language makes us social and we have the natural ability to interact because of the inborn qualities of a language. Language means an ability to communicate. Human beings because of the cognitive ability we are different from animal and plant species.
